Allego: know your recording is good — in time to fix it.
Allego is the acquisition app of Radiens — record up to 1,024+ channels while Vantage™ shows live signal quality, so at first look you know whether you are recording what you intend, and can fix a bad channel or reference during the session, not after it is spent.

Your recording session, with Radiens in it.
Today you record and hope — signal quality is a post-hoc surprise, and one bad reference can cost the whole session. With Radiens at the rig, quality and response are in view from first look (Vantage™), so you act while the session is still recoverable and power down knowing what you have.
Fewer wasted sessions
Catch a failing channel or a bad reference at first look, while you can still fix it — not after the session is spent.
Know at first look
Signal quality and neural response, live in view (Vantage™) — so you can tell system from electrode from brain state, in the moment.
On any rig
The live intelligence rides the data stream, not the hardware — monitor a recording on any DAQ as it is written.
A verdict, not a hope
Power down knowing the location was right and the fidelity sufficient — documented, and on your own storage.
The real enemy is finding out too late.
Every session spends something you cannot get back — the animal, the preparation, the state of the brain in that hour. Discover in post-processing that a reference was bad or the probe sat a hair off target, and it is both too late to act and too late to matter: the session is spent, and you owe the subject better than that. The cost runs deeper than a lost day. Electrophysiology is an audacious inference — you reconstruct how the brain works from a few channels, over a short window, in a controlled state — and it only holds if you recorded what you think you recorded, at sufficient fidelity. Neither can be recovered afterward. Reproducible science is ethical science, and reproducibility is won or lost at the source.
First look: is this what you expect?
The moment the signal comes up, you know — or you do not. Vantage™ makes the answer visible.Every system digitizes; the question at first look is whether what you are capturing is what you came for. Vantage™ puts signal quality in view as you record, so a bad channel or a failing electrode shows itself in the moment — not in post-processing.
Live signal quality — Vantage™
Per-channel quality at a glance while you record — spot a bad channel in the moment.
Live monitor and audio
Watch raw traces across every channel, and hear the activity live.
Live spectrum and sorting
Real-time power spectrum and live spike sorting — watch units form as you record.

If not — why? Resolve the fork, then fix it.
Recording system, electrode, brain state, or wrong location — tell them apart while you can still act.A signal that is not what you expected has four usual causes, and three of them are fixable at the rig. Allego separates them live — so you adjust, reposition, or wait on purpose, instead of spending the session fighting the wrong problem.
See where each channel sits
A probe-registered heatmap and 3D probe-in-brain confirm placement — rule the location question in or out.
Flag the failing channels
Automatic bad-channel detection, plus in-workflow impedance to separate electrode from system.
Watch the response, then act
Live PSTH tells a forming response from a quiet state — then rank channels and focus on the best, live.
On any rig — the intelligence rides the stream.
The live answers are not locked to the DAQ. Videre monitors any recording as it is written. The in-the-moment view is a property of the data stream, not of the acquisition hardware. Uncouple the two and every investigator — on any rig — can run the session the way they need to, with the same signal-quality answers Allego gives at the NeuroNexus bench.
Live recording monitor — any DAQ
Monitor a recording as it is written, on any DAQ, no driver — via Videre.
One workflow across vendors
Cross-vendor probe and DAQ support — Neuropixels and other systems in one workflow.
Same metrics, whatever the source
Quality computes from the live stream — the first-look answers don’t depend on the hardware.

Power down with a verdict — and keep it.
The session ends with an answer, not a hope: the location was right, the fidelity sufficient, and the dataset is documented and yours. That is not bookkeeping — it is the first two conditions of a result that holds up, secured at the source.
- ✓Run the rig on your terms — turnkey DAQ control up to 1,024+ channels; instrument control is free on every NeuroNexus system.
- ✓Know what you have — every dataset carries a unique ID and provenance from the first sample, with an integrity check.
- ✓Keep it — records to your own storage; local-first, nothing uploaded.
What each tier unlocks.
Where this is going.
Everything above ships today. Two in-development capabilities extend the live layer.
Field recording quality gates
Automatic gates for noise floor, line noise, saturation, drift, and channel correlation — quality, enforced as you record.
On-demand cluster scale
The local-first architecture grows from your workstation to on-demand cluster scale, without re-tooling.
Recorded well — now see it deeply.
Allego wins the first two conditions of a result that holds up at the source — the right location, at sufficient fidelity. Videre delivers the third: analysis that faithfully represents the activity, from sorted units to a result that stands on its own.
Allego — FAQ
How can I tell whether a bad electrophysiology recording is the recording system, the electrode, the brain state, or probe placement?
At first look, Allego separates the causes live: a probe-registered heatmap, a 3D probe-in-brain view, and atlas mapping confirm placement; automatic bad-channel detection and in-workflow impedance flag electrode and system faults; and live signal quality, PSD, and PSTH show whether a real response is forming or the state is simply quiet — so you know whether to adjust, reposition, or wait, while the session is still recoverable.
What is Allego?
Allego is the acquisition app of Radiens — it records up to 1,024+ channels while showing live signal quality (Vantage™): per-channel SNR, noise floor, and impedance, so you catch a failing channel during the session, not after it's spent.
What is Vantage™?
Vantage™ is Radiens's live signal-quality view during recording — per-channel SNR, noise floor, impedance, and spike rate computed continuously from the live stream, with live PSTH and advanced spectral analysis added in Pro.
Can I monitor a recording on non-NeuroNexus hardware live?
Yes. Allego provides turnkey control of NeuroNexus DAQ (XDAQ up to 1,024+ channels, Smartbox) and records Neuropixels natively; to watch a recording on another vendor’s system live, Videre’s live recording monitor reads any DAQ as it is written — about 200 ms latency, no driver — so the in-the-moment signal-quality view is not tied to the acquisition hardware.
How does catching problems during recording affect reproducibility?
Reproducibility depends on conditions you can only secure at the source: that you recorded what you intended (location) at sufficient fidelity (signal quality). Neither can be recovered in post-processing, so Allego shows both live — and every dataset carries a unique ID and a provenance record from the first sample — giving the downstream analysis a foundation that holds up.
Does using Allego send my data to NeuroNexus?
No. Allego records straight to your own storage and is local-first — nothing is uploaded to NeuroNexus. The dataset is yours from the first sample, to archive and analyze wherever you choose.
Start recording — free, on your data, on any rig.
Instrument control ships free on every NeuroNexus system, and Videre's live monitor reads any other rig as it records. You run the experiment; Radiens shows you the signal at first look — and the decisions, and the data, stay yours.
